International maritime exhibition "Asia Pacific Maritime (APM) 2010" will be held in Singapore from 24th Wednesday until 26th Friday of March, 2010, to which we, Imabari Shipbuilding Group, are participating as a member of the Cooperative Association of Japan Shipbuilders. Asia Pacific Maritime is the most famous maritime exhibition in the Asian region, to which many shipbuilders and marine machinery & equipment manufacturers are taking part from all over the world, in order to appeal their products and activities toward international shipping and shipbuilding circle.

We exhibit a model of "Safety Bow", which is bulbous bow specially designed and developed in collaboration with Nippon Steel Corporation. This Safety Bow is characterized by its superior deformation capacity and impact energy absorption in case of collision. Even when the vessel collided with other vessel, the damage will be minimized on both vessels. We explain about it at our APM booth using the model and panels. We also introduce our effort for reduction of environment load, improvement of vessel's safety by applying newly developed steel plate etc.
